PURPOSE:To attain ease of connection and reproduction of a recording paper sheet at the reception side by adding a mark by a picture pattern representing division of a picture in transmitting a long original while it is divided. CONSTITUTION:When the length of the original 1 is longer than the length of the recording sheet at the reception side, the original is transmitted while it is divided into a picture data for one recording paper sheet's share. In applying the dividing processing, when a CPU17 detects the end line and head line of the picture data for one recording paper sheet's share, the data is processed as follows: that is, when the final line is detected, a mark from a picture pattern generator 16 is fed to a picture mixer 14. When the head line is detected succeedingly, the mark is fed similrly to the mixer 14. Then the mark is fed to the end and tip of the divided part of the recording paper sheet. The connection and reproduction of the recording paper sheet at the reception side are performed easily by using the said mark.
