PURPOSE:To obtain a display affected less by flicker by repeating and by displaying in the same line the same signal at least twice from a field memory during one field period of reading out memory data. CONSTITUTION:Television signals inputted by an antenna 1 are added to a circuit 2 and the circuit 2 outputs an R signal 3, G signal 4, B signal 5, vertical synchronizing signal 6, and horizontal synchronizing signal 7. Each chrominance signal is digitized by and A/DA converter 8 and stored in a field memory 10 or 11 after passing through a switch circuit 9. Video data stored in the field memories 10 and 11 pass through a switching circuit 12, are sent to a data latch and column drive circuit 13 and drive the column side of a liquid crystal panel 16. Thereupon a switching circuit 12 is switched every one field, reads out data from the memory on the side where writing is not being done, effect by flicker is reduced by displaying the same data at least twice during one field period.
