PURPOSE:To disperse uniformly a toner in the axial direction by rotating a pair of permanent magnets having reverse spirally plural pieces of magnetic poles in opposite directions within a cylindrical nonmagnetic sleeve having an elliptical section. CONSTITUTION:Permanent magnet members 11, 11' fixed spirally with plural pieces of permanent magnets 9, 9 around shafts 10, 10' are rotated in opposite directions as shown by arrows (a), (b) within a cylindrical nonmagnetic sleeve 12 having an elliptical section. The toner 2' fed from a cleaning device not shown is dropped through an upper replenishing port 15 at the end of the sleeve 12. The toner 2' falls along the sleeve 12 as shown by arrows (c), (d) while the toner is axially dispersed by the rotation of the members 11, 11'. The toner 2' replenished in such a way is uniformly dispersed in the axial direction of the sleeve 12. |
