The invention is based on a telescopic pipe arrangement, which comprises an inner pipe and an outer pipe having at least predominantly circular cross-sections, especially suction-pipe arrangements on vacuum cleaners, having a connecting collar, which can rotate, is fixed in the axial direction, is at least partially elastic, consist especially of plastic and can be moved by rotation into a clamping position in which it blocks an axial and a radial relative movement of the pipes by means of a clamping lock and a friction lock. It is distinguished in that an expanded end section (6) of the outer pipe (2) is pushed in between an internally located locking part (4) and an externally located handle part (5) of the connecting collar (3), as far as the connecting point (8) of the two parts (4 and 5), the free end of the handle part (5), which is constructed as a snap tab (8), resting on the transition step (9) of the end section (6) of the outer pipe (2), and in that the locking part (4) of the connecting collar (3) has, on its surface facing the outer pipe (2), at least one section (10) which deviates within short circumferential sections from the shape of a circle, there being allocated to the section (10) a section (11) of the outer pipe (2) which interacts with a small amount of radial movement play when the connecting collar (3) is released and is of corresponding shape. <IMAGE>
