PURPOSE:To prevent a cathode-ray tube from being reflected by external light reflection and provide it with a good antistatic function by providing space on the surface of faceplate surface or on the surface of a coating plate surface mounted on this faceplate and coating the space with a transparent conductive film. CONSTITUTION:A coating plate 4 is provided on the surface of a faceplate 2 through a transparent synthetic resin layer 3. This coating plate 4 is made of transparent glass, etc. and an antireflection coating layer 5 is formed on the surface. A transparent conductive film 6 has a rectangular frame section 7 that is provided along an ineffective screen near the peripheral section of the coating plate 4 and is provided with two or more stripe sections 8 formed narrowly corresponding to the effective screen of this frame section 7. The space 9 with each uniform shape is formed and the occupied area of the stripe sections is approximately one thenth. As a result, both surfaces of a cathode-ray tube have little external light reflection and are easy to see and the fatigue of the human eye can be reduced. |
