PURPOSE:To obtain miniaturization of the driving circuit of a liquid crystal panel by forming a tone signal by a parallel/serial conversion circuit after storing the image signal which is converted to digital-signal by the unit of plural bits into a shift register by an A/D conversion circuit. CONSTITUTION:Image signals from an image signal amplifier circuit not shown here are converted to parallel data with seven bits by an A/D conversion circuit 21 of the comparison parallel type, and are transmitted to a shift register 22 with seven bits X (m) stages sequentially. The seven bit data which are stored in the shift register temporarily are transmitted to a parallel/serial conversion circuit 23 by a load pulse phiL, the data are converted to serial data with one bit, and the serial data with one bit are inputted to a two-channel analogue multiplexer 24 as the tone signal by timing of a pulse phi1. The multiplexer 24 outputs a driving signal Y1 (Y1-Y320) to the liquid crystal matrix panel.
