In order to provide a lock for two sliders of a slide fastener running in opposite directions, which lock not only is easy to produce and to mount, but also allows both sliders to be retained by only one closing operation using commercially available slide fasteners and their sliders, it is proposed according to the invention that the lock consists of an upper part (6), a lower part (7) and a pressure bar (8), the upper part (6) engaging in the manner of a housing over the lower part (7) and the pressure bar (8) mounted displaceably between them, and the lower part (7) having a groove (22) which is open at the bottom and extends from its one side wall (20) to its other side wall (21), and a projecting loop (23) being located on the other end wall (21). The pressure bar (8) is displaceable on the lower part (7) transversely to the direction of movement of the sliders (3, 4) and is subjected to the effect of a spring (9) which is supported between adjacent walls of the upper part (6) and of the pressure bar (8). <IMAGE>
