A method of applying lettering, which is not legible by the naked eye, to a label on a bottle, in particular a wine bottle for displaying the analysis of the wine, said label being produced by the colour printing method by the screen system, consists in the fact that, when printing in one surface in which one colour is greatly predominant, dots of another colour representing the lettering are screened to such a weak extent that they are only legible after filtering the predominant colour.
