摘要 The component proportions in a petrol-hydrogen-air mixture are so controlled that at a full load the combustible mixture produced contains (by weight %) from 5.8 to 6.0 of petrol, from 0.14 to 0.17 of hydrogen and from 93.7 to 94.0 of air, and at a load constituting 0.1 of the full load, the combustible mixture contains from 1.2 to 1.5 of petrol, from 0.42 to 0.45 of hydrogen and from 98.1 to 98.4 of air. The proportions of the components in the combustible mixture for other load conditions are also disclosed. The mixture carburettor has a choke tube 3, controlled by a throttle valve 8, which produces a petrol-air mixture and a hydrogen injector 18 fed from a supply via a regulator 19 operating at least in dependence on the flow of petrol-air mixture. The injector 18 may be located in a further choke tube 4 with its throttle valve 9 and the seat 27 of the engine speed controlled regulating valve 26 controlled in dependence on the position of the throttle valve 8. Further carburettors, Figs. 6 to 18 (not shown), have modified choke tube and hydrogen flow control arrangements. <IMAGE>
