PURPOSE:To improve reliability of reading by providing a bar code reading sensor, in an integrated form, on the supporting frame of a copying roller in a tire positioning means, in a tire selecting device which can read a bar code formed on the surface of a tire. CONSTITUTION:When a tire W is slidingly transferred by means of a conveyor 3, the tire W is brought in contact with right and left stopper-and-driving rollers 4a, 4b in an erected posture, and stops. Thereupon, an elevating frame 8 is raised by means of a cylinder, and the tire W is elevated being held on supporting rollers 10 and a guide roller 12. Then, copying rollers 11a, 11b are moved leftward by means of a cylinder 15, to clamp the tire W. And, the rollers 4a, 4b are rotated in this condition, causing the tire W to rotate and, after carrying out the centering of the tire W, its bar code is detected by means of a sensor on a tire selecting device, to select a tire. |
