PURPOSE:To obtain the titled activating soln. enabling activation in a high pH region and giving a uniform film on powder or granules each having a smooth surface by electroless plating by using a Pd salt in combination with a surfactant having a perfluoroalkyl group. CONSTITUTION:A body to be subjected to electroless plating is activated with an activating soln. contg. a Pd salt and a surfactant having a perfluoroalkyl group. Only by the single activation, uniform catalytic activity can be simply provided to the surface of the body, especially powder or granules such as ceramic powder which is not easily subjected to electroless plating. Since the catalytic activity can be provided even when the pH of the activating soln. is >=about 5, this method is applicable even to a chemically unstable substance. |
