PURPOSE:To simplify bending processing with high speed as wel as the continuous operation by performing bending processing without removing a chuck, which holds the end part of a straight tubular bulb, while holding said straight tubular bulb by means of a bending drum from above said chuck. CONSTITUTION:When one piece of straight tubular bulb 1 comes out from a heating furnace 12, a bending drum 13 in a separated state comes down from above the end part on the second chuck 9 side of said bulb 1 to be combined for holding the bulb end part through the second chuck 9. Next, the whole moves rotatingly to the side of the first chuck 8 along the straight tubular bulb 1 held by the curving drum 13 while moving in the carrying direction of the carrier body 7 for the bending processing of the straight tubular bulb 1 into the ring shape. The bending drum 13 having finished the bending processing moves inversely rotating in the direction meeting the carrier body 7 at right angles while holding the second chuck 9 engaged, in accordance with the movement of the carrier body 7 so as to return the second chuck 9 to the original chuck holding stand 10 by pushing-in action. |
