PURPOSE:The titled composition having excellent mechanical properties, heat resistance, mold release characteristics, and feedability, comprising a polyethylene terephthalate resin, glass fibers, a specified flame-retardant, hexabromobiphenyl ether, Sb2O3, and an ester compound. CONSTITUTION:To a reinforced resin composition made by incorporating, into 100pts.wt. polyethylene terephthalate resin (A), 1-20pts.wt. flame-retardant, a compound containing not less than 10wt% halogen of formula I [where X is H, Br or Cl; m is 0-11 in average; R1 is glycidyl or a (halogenated) hydrocarbon group] (B), 2-30pts.wt. hexabromobiphenyl ether (C), 2-30pts.wt. Sb2O3 (D), and 5-60pts.wt. glass fibers (E), the wt. ratio B/C being 0.2-4 and B+C being 3-40pts.wt., is added externally 0.01-2wt% ester compound (F) of formula II[where R5-8 each are H or a fatty acid ester of CnH2n+1 (n is 10-30); not all of R5-8 are H]. |
