PURPOSE:To write the data twice in length with just a single writing action to a register file by providing odd and even number register files, an adder, constant generator and a selector respectively. CONSTITUTION:The registers to which data are written are defined as 2N and 2N+1 respectively. An address 2N+2 is supplied to a register file 31 via a selecting signal line 51 and the register 2N+1 is designated. Then 2N is added to a constant K=1 fed from a constant generator 41, and the value obtained by dividing said addition value by 2 is supplied to a selecting signal line 50 as the address of a register file 30. Thus the register 2N is selected. The data at the side A are selected by the 1st and 2nd selectors 20 and 21, and upper bits of both selectors are sent to the register 2N. While the lower bits are sent to the register 2N+1. The lowest bit of the address 2N is supplied to a selecting signal line 52. Then the side A is selected when the logical value of the signal is set at ''0''. |
