PURPOSE:To prevent abrasion and the generation of worn, flutty and fused yarn by providing a yarn conductor having a surface roughness of more than 30S and a surface hardness of more than HV1,200, the surface of which is satin-finished for the best contact state with a yarn. CONSTITUTION:A spindle-type yarn conductor 1 is made of an alloy steel containing one or two kinds of Al or Cr. At least a sliding contact portion 2 of the yarn conductor 1 with a yarn is subjected to surface treatment to have a surface roughtness of more than 30s and be satin-finished, and the yarn conductor 1 having a satin-finished surface is embedded in processing powder, the principal component of which is B and heated at 900 deg.C-1,000 deg.C for about 30min-1hr. After that, the yarn conductor is cooled in the above processing powder and then taken out to form a boronized yarn conductor 1 having a surface hardness of HV1,500-HV1,800. |
