PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a cabinet without increase a lens diameter by arranging a prism with a large refractive index in an optical lens. CONSTITUTION:The prism 4 having the large refractive index is arranged in the optical lens body 6. Video light emitted by a projection tube 1 is made incident to a prism 6b through the 1st lens 6a and is reflected its oblique surface and supplied to a main lens 6c. When the refractive index of the prism 6b is >=1, light projected from the prism 6b is moved toward the optical axis in parallel. Therefore, the optical lens body 6 is composed of a lens with a smaller diameter than when the prism 6b is not used.
