PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of variations in press-in force, by installing a press-in detecting device in a press-in jig in having an eye to a fact that a spring-back value is proportional to the press-in force, while making it so as to press in a pin upon estimating the spring-back value from this press-in force detecting device. CONSTITUTION:First and second strain gauges 22 and 23 are attached to a bush press-in jig 10 at both side, while third and fourth stain gauges 24 and 25 are attached to a pin press-in jig 8 at both sides likewise. These first to fourth gauges 22, 23, 24 and 25 are connected with one another in a bridge type way. From each output of these third and fourth gauges 24 and 25, a press stop position estimating the sping-back value is calculated at operation parts 27 and 28, while this calculated value P is compared with an output value Q of a hole pitch sensor 11 by a comparator 30, and at that point that both values accord with each other, a press is stopped. In this connection, press-in operation at the bush side comes to an end with a confirmation that the bush press-in jig hits the bush end face. |
