In a plasma cutting torch with a torch head that has an upper part (4) which carries a centrically arranged electrode needle (3) and can be applied to one pole of a current source, and a lower part (5) insulated from said upper part and which can be applied to the other pole of the current source, on which lower part are accommodated a centrically arranged cutting nozzle (12) which accommodates the tip of the electrode needle (3) and can be charged with centre gas, directly, and a shielding gas nozzle (15) surrounding the cutting nozzle (12) at a radial distance (14) and projecting beyond the latter in the axial direction, which can be charged with cooling gas, with insertion of an insulation, the necessary number of parts can be minimised and at the same time reliable operation and long tool-life can be achieved if the insulation provided between the lower part (5) and shielding gas nozzle (15) is formed as a one-piece ceramics bushing (16), on which a screw-on thread is formed on the lower part side and a surrounding groove is formed on the shielding gas nozzle side, in which groove an edge claw (19) provided in the region of the rear edge of the shielding gas nozzle (15) can resiliently engage. <IMAGE>
