The ball joint has a ball casing (7) with a parallelepipedic part (8). A boss (10) has a traversing hole with two zones of different widths (l1, l2), where one width is greater than the other width. A ball has a degree of freedom in an interconnection direction of an order of +- 5 degrees on both sides of a vertical symmetrical plane, for the displacements of the ball related to positions of a ball pin in the zone of reduced width. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising a ball joint.
