The invention relates to a device for the discharge and delivery in final form of pieces of dough which have preferably been baked, combined with a transport device, in which transport or support elements are attached to an endless mounting in such a way as to be parallel to one another and to be pivotable about their longitudinal axes, the endless mounting comprising two synchronously circulating belts or chains arranged in parallel. A number of rollers are arranged so as to form a semicircle and be parallel to one another on a holding device which is movable in a linear and pivotable fashion, which rollers are driven synchronously, are designed so as to be rotatable in the same direction and are assigned to the region of transition between the upper and the lower runs of the transport device in such a way that the pieces of dough located in the support elements are held by the rollers during the transition until the lower delivery point is reached. The transport or support elements are box-like, designed each with a level floor and lateral surfaces, and the transition station of the transport device is provided with a chain wheel, on whose face or faces a polygonal disc is provided in each case, whose side length approximately corresponds to the length of the floor of the transport or support elements, so that the latter are guided by the polygonal discs during the transition.
