PURPOSE:To obtain a permanent magnet suitable for a magnet rotor, etc. when the outer periphery of the permanent magnet is manufactured of an Mn-Al-C alloy having the directions of easy magnetization radially, and the alloy thereof is made to be anisotropy as to have the directions of easy magnetization radially by a method wherein the alloy thereof is bonded with a metal material put in the inner peripheral part thereof. CONSTITUTION:A well-known Mn-Al-C alloy, Mn of 68-73mass%, C of (1/ 10Mn-6.6)-(1/3Mn-22.2)mass% and Al of the remainder, for example, is extrusion processed at the temperature of 530-830 deg.C to form a cylindrical body, a brass column is inserted into the hollow part, and compression processing is performed in the axial direction to bond both. As a result, the cylindrical Mn- Al-C alloy magnet is made to have the directions of easy magnetization radially, and moreover bonded with the brass. The permanent magnet thereof has a suitable construction as to be used by performing multiploar magnetization to the outer periphery, and moreover has the brass at the inner periphery to have the mechanical property, and drilling processing is also easy. |
