PURPOSE:To handle easily a variable in case printing a source program by converting a variable name which is limited in many ways to an easily understandable character, by the designation in the source program. CONSTITUTION:A source program 1 stored in a magnetic disk is inputted by a program 2, the conversion of a variable name is executed, and the output result of the program 2 is printed by a printing means 3. When the contents of the source program 1 are shown by the partial magnified drawing 10, and a sentence for instruction the conversion is designated so as to describe as 11 by the program 2, a source program list which is changed to contents 40 by the program 2 and the printing means 3 can be printed. In this case, as for a line of 11, that of the same contents is printed as a line of 41, and a line of 12 is printed as a line of 42 by said means.
