A rectification column, in particular a packed column, for the separation of mixtures of substances having low fractions of volatile phase, such as in particular for the concentration of tritium from tritium-containing lithium, has, at the column head, a condenser (1) simultaneously acting as a condensate distributer, which includes vertical cooling fingers (3) of identical length evenly distributed over the column cross-section located on a uniform level. The cooling fingers are elongated by dropping points (10) evenly distributed around their periphery, the ends of which each have a comparably small cross-section. In addition, the condenser includes at least one condensate trap (12) which can be transported beneath at least one dropping point. For as even as possible a feed of the condensate to the dropping points, the cooling finger has a polygonal cross-section having concave side surfaces or screw threads which lead to the dropping points or end in an annular trough having capillary syphons distributed round the periphery (Figure 1). <IMAGE>
