The invention relates to a clutch disc, in particular for motor vehicles, with two sub-assemblies which can be rotated to a limited extent relative to one another, of which the first contains the hub and the second contains the friction linings secured on the lining carrier disc, at least two friction devices with a different level of friction which responds in succession in the range of rotation acting between the sub-assemblies. In order to improve the functioning of a clutch disc of this kind and to permit simple and inexpensive manufacture, the first friction device with the higher level of friction has friction or sliding-contact areas fixed on one of the sub-assemblies and having raised and recessed sections provided over an annular area and offset in the axial direction relative to one another, and the other sub-assembly has friction or sliding-contact areas having recessed and raised sections likewise provided over an annular area and offset in the axial direction relative to one another, the raised sections of one sub-assembly being displaceable axially within the recessed sections of the other sub-assembly and vice versa without mutual contact over a range of rotation over which the friction device is inoperative, the recessed and raised sections having an axial spacing and the sections furthermore being subject to the action of an energy store which stresses them towards each other in the axial direction and ... over a further range of rotation ...
