PURPOSE:To obtain a small sized frequency converter by extracting a discrete signal at a frequency band shifted by an integral number of multiple of a sampling period for the sampling time at a prescribed period after an the frequency of an input signal is subject to band limit. CONSTITUTION:After a signal inputted to an input terminal 1 is limited to a desired frequency band 9 by the 1st filter circuit section 2, the signal is sampled by a sampling circuit section 3 having a prescribed sampling frequency 10. The base band 11 as shown in figure is extracted from the signal produced by the sampling circuit section 3 by the 2nd filter 4. Since the input signal to the frequency converter is frequency-converted into an optional frequency band by controlling optionally the sampling time and the circuit constitution is simple, the converter is miniaturized easily. |
