<p>No solvent is used in the manufacture of the tape, which involves applying the adhesive to a supple support (i.e. a clear transparent mixture of 30-70% of a filmogenic product, 10-70% of at least a sticky resin and 0-40% of a plasticiser) in the molten state. The filmogenic substance is chosen from synthetic rubbers (e.g. polyisoprene, styrene-butadiene) and thermoplastic polymers (e.g. polyurethanes and/or polyacrylic derivs). The resin is chosen from colophane esters petroleum resins and/or resinous esters.</p> |
