PURPOSE:To convey charge particles in a specified direction by projecting plural projections spaced from each other from electric field curtain electrodes juxtaposed to parallel with each other toward the direction where charge particles are conveyed. CONSTITUTION:When an AC power source 6 is impressed via distributing electrodes 4, 5 to electric field curtains 2, 3, unequal alternating electric fields are generated at the plane perpendicular to the respective electrodes 2, 3 and at the same time unequal alternating electric fields are generated between the electrodes 2 and 3 as well. The charge particles laid on a dielectric material 1 start floating and oscillating by these alternating electric fields and at the same time the charge particles in the unequal alternating electric fields start moving in the direction directed by the projections 2b, 3b. The charge particles are thus efficiently conveyed in the specified direction. |
