STEREOSCOPIC PICTURE DISPLAY SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To attain the display of pictures of synthetic colors by using a transparent polarizing plate which displays pictures for left and right eyes to a display screen for each prescribed number of frames and can obtain the 1st and 2nd polarizing screens corresponding to the left and right eye glasses of a viewer at the front of the display screen and then transmitting the left eye and right eye pictures only through their exclusive eye glasses respectively. CONSTITUTION:The information on pictures of three primary colors for both left and right eyes of a viewer T are stored to a display part K. These picture information are displayed to a CRTB for each frame and alternately. A control part S varies the voltage impressed to electrodes P1 and P2 of a film F synchronously with the frame scan. The pictures for left eye of the viewer T are supplied to the left eye only through a glass M1 for left eye during a frame period for display of pictures for left eye. While the pictures for right eye are supplied to the right eye only through a glass M2 for light eye during a frame peiod for display of pictures for right eye. Thus the desired end is attained since both glasses M1 and M2 of the viewer T have different polarizing surfaces.
