Electrolyte for depositing a low-carat yellow- to red-coloured gold/copper/zinc alloy

In a gold/copper/zinc electrolyte containing zinc as alkali-metal cyanide and alkali-metal cations for the electrodeposition of low-carat yellow- to red-coloured gold/copper/zinc alloys, the alkali-metal cations are sodium ions present in a concentration of 20 g/l < Na<+> < solubility limit. Surprisingly, deposits are obtained which are resistant to the copper chloride test.
