PURPOSE:To compensate nonlinear phase distortion which is generated during signal transmission accurately through a simple circuit by composing a compensating circuit of a detecting and rectifying circuit and a phase shifting circuit composed of a resistance, capacitor, transformer, and varactor diode. CONSTITUTION:A bias voltage V2 and the polarity of the output of the detecting and rectifying circuit 14 are so set that as an input Vi increases, the anode-cathode voltage of the varactor diode 11 rises, and consequently the capacity Cp of the diode 11 becomes smaller. Further, the bias voltage V2 and the polarity of the output of the detecting and rectifying circuit 14 are so set that as the input Vi decreases, the anode-cathode voltage of the diode 11 drops, and consequently the capacity Cp becomes larger. For the purpose, the bias voltage V2 is selected and then capacity varies with the input signal level to perform phase shifting operation, thereby compensating the nonlinear phase distortion of the input signal. |
