<p>In the continuous process for dehydrating muds, the mud is previously treated by a flocculation agent as a function of the mud amount per time unit and is pumped to a chamber filter press (11) by means of a pump (12). In order to provide for an efficient dehydration while using a minimum amount of flocculation agent, the latter (18) is added to the mud on the discharge side of the pump, and the added flocculation agent amount is dosed both in relation to the quantity (13) and the density (14) of the mud.
