PURPOSE:To check generation of a discharge miss by connecting each other the neighboring one electrode with the other electrode relating to the neighboring discharge maintainance electrode pair mutually so as to be impressed with a common voltage wave form. CONSTITUTION:Regarding to the terminal connection, the neighboring one electrode and the other electrode 3A, 2B and 3C, 2D are mutually bus-connected for being led out to a terminal Y1 while leading out the remaining one side electrodes 2A, 3B, 2C and 3D to individual terminals. According to said terminal connection, the neighboring electrodes 3A, 2B and 3C, 2D holding the terminal Y1 of the neighboring two sets of discharge maintenance electrode pair are impressed with the same maintenance voltage pulse wave form so as to always maintain the neighboring electrodes in a potential state. Consequently, a discharge miss due to charge combination with the neighboring maintenance discharge cell is completely excluded. Accordingly, the neighboring maintenance electrode pair can be arranged at a close distance thus reducing a pitch of a maintenance discharge point. |
