PURPOSE:To accurately control injection quantity by rapidly reducing the pressure in a pressurizing chamber after injecting a predetermined quantity of fuel under high pressure to prevent a secondary injection, while enabling the position of a shuttle to return to the same position as when the fuel injection has completed, after discharging the remaining fuel. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is operated, fuel from a fuel feeding passage 10 is fed to a first pressurizing chamber 14 through a passage 12, etc. after its quantity is measured by an injection quantity controlling valve 8 and moves a shuttle 15 downward, to make fuel in a medium chamber 16 fed into a low pressure part through passages 17 to 19. Also, said fuel from the passage 10 is fed to a second pressurizing chamber 23 through a passage 21, etc. after its quantity is measured by an injection timing controlling valve 9. And high pressure fuel in the pressurizing chamber 23, which is pressurized when a plunger 3 is pressed inward through a roller 5, which cooperates with a cam ring 4, pressurizes fuel in the pressurizing chamber 14 through the shuttle 15, making the fuel fed into an injection valve through an injection connection port 44. After the fuel is injected, the remaining fuel in the pressurising chamber 23 is discharged after the pressure in the pressurizing chamber 14 is reduced. |
