PURPOSE:To permit to effect removing work of scale in cooling tubes by efficient chemical cleaning by a method wherein a cooling water inlet chamber is provided with a chemical liquid inlet seat and a cooling water outlet chamber is provided with a chemical liquid outlet seat respectively in the heat exchanger being communicated in the sequence of the cooling water inlet chamber, the group of cooling tubes and the cooling water outlet chamber. CONSTITUTION:In case the deterioration of cooling efficiency of the cooling tubes due to production of the scale in the tubes is confirmed, operation is stopped, cooling water is discharged and blind plates 4A, 8A are fixed to the flanges or the like of a cooling water inlet tube 4 and cooling water outlet tube 8 to block them. Next, the chemical liquid inlet seat 9 and the chemical liquid outlet seat 10, which are provided at positions suitable to constitute uniform chemical liquid flow in the group 6 of the cooling tubes and provided with dimensions capable of securing necessary flow amount, are connected to pipelines 12, 13 equipped with a chemical liquid circulating pump 11 while the pipeline is connected with a chemical liquid pouring pipe 15 equipped with a chemical liquid pouring pump 14. Then, the chemical liquid, selected in accordance with the property of the scale, equipment, material or the like, is continued to circulate until the removal of the scale is finished. |
