PURPOSE:To obtain an image preserving member having an excellent electrical characteristic, strength, etc. without flawing as a result of rubbing and melt sticking of a toner by shrinking thermally a cylindrical heat shrinkable film consisting of a resin mixture composed of a thermoplastic polyester resin and PE thereby forming a surface layer. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical heat shrinkable film having about 5-100mum thickness is formed by an inflation method using a resin compsn. obtd. by mixing 100pts.wt. a thermoplastic polyester resin and 2-40pts.wt. PE resin and adding further a lubricant such as lead stearate or the like thereto if necessary. A compsn. contg. a photoconductive material (e.g.; CdS) is coated on a cylindrical conductive base such as an aluminum cylinder or the like the and is dried to form a photosensitive layer and thereafter the above-described cylindrical heat shrinkable film is put thereon and is heated to shrink the heat shrinkable film, thereby forming a surface layer. The intended image preserving member for preserving an electrostatic image or toner image is thus obtd. |
