PURPOSE:To improve a cleaning effect, to obtain a high picture quality, and also to make a machine body compact by performing respective different processes by an electrostatic charger, a magnetic brush, an exposing lamp and an AC discharge device with forward and backward rotations of a photosensitive member. CONSTITUTION:When a power source switch is turned on, a photosensitive belt 5 rotates backward by one rotation, and simultaneously, a magnetic brush roller 13 rotates in the forward direction, a full surface exposing lamp 14 is lighted, an AC discharge device 16 is energized by an electric power, and the belt 5 is destaticized and cleaned. Thereafter, when a printing button is pushed, the belt 5 starts a forward rotation, also an electrostatic charger 15 is energized by an electric power, and while the belt 5 rotates forward to an exposing position A from the device 15, electrostatic charging is executed, and simultaneously, a fixing roller 22 is driven. In the course of the charging process, a feed paper roller 18 is driven by a suitable timing, and when a placing plate 4 is changed to a forward rotation after the electrifying process has been ended, a main exposing lamp 12a and the AC discharge device 16 are lighted, each process of exposure, development, full surface exposure, transfer and separation is executed with the forward rotation of the belt 5 together with the roller 13, the lamp 14 and the device 15, and printing is executed. |
