The invention concerns a method for processing data packets transmitted in a communication network (R). The method is suitable for obtaining data related to at least one data packet transmitted by a communication device (Eq1) via said communication network, analysing the obtained data in order to determine whether or not the communication device (Eq1) is of a given device type, depending on predefined profile data, unique to said device type, and creating a message intended for an operator, if said communication device is not of the given device type. The invention also relates to a monitoring device (SVE) implementing the processing method. |
