PURPOSE:To simulate an actual color electrooptically or vice versa when the color quantity of color ink is specified by plate density by using a color monitor device and a plate density value display means. CONSTITUTION:Color signals 16(Y-K) corresponding to the quantities of respective colors on printing paper are outputted from a color quantity setting means 10 capable of setting the color quantity of ink to an optional value between 0 and, what is called, solid painting, and inputted to matrix means 20 and 21. Those means convert each color quantity of ink into the intensity of each fluorescent color on a color CRT and are equipped with a superposition correcting means 30 and an ink color-television color converting means 40. A signal 16 for displaying a color on the color monitor device 50 by its output is converted by a color quantity-density converting means 70 into the density of each plate corresponding to an employed printing system and its density value is displayed on a display means 80. |
