PURPOSE:To improve heat efficiency and reduce environmental pollution by exhaust gas by separating fresh air fuel premixture into gases containing rich and lean fuel, sending the gases into a cylinder as scavenging gases in the piled form so as to reduce blow of fuel into exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:When a suction port 9 is opened to begin suction stroke, compositions of fuel liquid mist 19 having greater weight in the suction air are attracted to the wall face 15 opposed to a suction port 9. The fuel is scratched down by the lower end of a piston skirt and the gathered fuel in the groove 18 on the cylinder wall face then flows via a scavenging passage 16 and a scavenging opening 17 into a cylinder's combustion chamber 2. Normal lean mixture flows from a crankcase 11 via a scavenging passage 12 and a scavenging opening 13 into the cylinder's combustion chamber 2.
