Method of spinning yarn based on two different components of staple fibre

A method of open-end spinning a yarn formed of two different components of staple fibre and a yarn formed thereby, in which most of the outer fibres are formed of one component and most of the inner fibres are formed of the other component. The components are integrally linked by orienting and distributing the fibres as they approach the open end in such a way that they lie substantially parallel to the open end and overlap, whereby part of some of the fibres of the inner component are wrapped around some of the fibres of the outer component.
