PURPOSE:To enhance the transfer probability of ink, by providing a coating layer containing a granular synthetic resin pigment as an ink receiving layer. CONSTITUTION:A coating layer 34 consisting of pigment 32 and a binder 33 is provided to the surface of base paper. As the pigment 32, a granular synthetic resin pref. having an average particle size of below 0.5mum such as a powdery urea/formaldehyde resin or a powdery polystyrene resin is used. This pigment is contained in an amount of 30% or more as a pigment component. The ratio of the pigment 32 and the binder 33 for forming the coating layer 34 is 10-50 of the binder to 100 of the pigment on a solid basis. By this method, especially excellent transfer probability is obtained. |
