PURPOSE:To measure a local void accurately over the entire area of a passage by measuring the local void distribution of a fluid of double phases gaseous and liquid with two radiation void meters in two directions. CONSTITUTION:First and second radiation void meters 11 and 12 are set about a passage tube 10 of a liquid in such a manner as to be perpendicular to each other. The radiation void meters 11 and 12 emit a radiation such as X ray and gamma ray from a radiation source 16 to be made to pass through a fluid of double phases gaseous and liquid and the transmission thereof is detected with a detector 17 measure the void. At this point, the radiation void meter 11 is allowed to shift in the direction X and the radiation void meter 12 in the direction Y freely to change the coordinate position in the X-Y direction and the void data is obtained sequentially to perform a numerical calculation. Thus, both the radiation void meters are subjected to a translation to perform detection sequentially in the passage thereby enabling accurate detection of a local void distribution of the fluid of double phases gaseous and liquid flowing through the passage. |
