PURPOSE:To make the forming process easier by a method wherein a slug lead wire is provided with the stiffness moment not to cause a bent until a carbon jig is inserted while with less stiffness in the forming process after finishing the glass sealing process. CONSTITUTION:A copper wire containing 0.05-0.15wt% of carbon is prepared to produce a copper coated composite wire plated or clad with copper of specified wall thickness i.e. 24wt% further to be stretch-processed. Next the stretch- processed composite wire is passed through a continuous furnace separated into two zones e.g. an evenly heating zone at 800-900 deg.C and a cooling zone at 20- 80 deg.C at the linear velosity of 30-60m/min providing the composite wire with the stiffness moment exceeding around 90gcm. Later this composite wire may be cut off at specified length and one end of the cut off wire is welded into one end of a dumet wire to produce a slug lead. |
