The regulating system is designed to regulate several independent electrical magnitudes of a direct current system of the type in which each magnitude is controlled by a thyristor. All the control thyristors are controlled by a sole switching unit (H) which ensures their simultaneous extinction. This switching unit (H) is connected in series with all the thyristors controlling the electrical magnitudes. All the thyristors being connected in parallel. This switching unit is a continuous current regulator having a principal thyristor and a thyristor extinction circuit. The principal thyristor extinction circuit simultaneously extinguishes all the other transistors.
