PURPOSE:To attain automation by bringing a gauge contactor into abutting contact with reference surfaces of a screw gauge by external automatic operation after screwing-in operation, and holding the gauge contactor in the abutting contact state under specific contact pressure against the reference surface in both upward and downward directions. CONSTITUTION:When a measurement is taken, pressurized air is applied to a cylinder 661 to project a piston 662, and a moving-side supporting member 64 is lowered through a spring 67. Consequently, when the screw gauge is screwed in a work W, the gauge contactor 68b is moved back not to contact the gauge. The pressure to the cylinder 661 is reduced after the screwing-in operation to return the piston 662, and then pressing force to the spring 67 is released, so the moving-side supporting member 64 is elevated by being energized by a spring 65 to allow the gauge contactor 68b to abut on the gauge reference surface. A stand-off is measured on the display of a measuring instrument 69. |
