PURPOSE:To eliminate magnetic attraction in paper jamming to facilitate paper removal by providing a moving means for changing over a pressing piece having a magnet for pressing paper and an opposite attractable member to move them away. CONSTITUTION:The through hole 8 of an attractable member 7 is moved to the position hidden from the window 3 of the frame 4 at the time of conveying paper 2, and the paper 2 is conveyed in the arrow A direction, while a magnet 5 is allowed to attract the member 7 to press and hold the paper 2 on a conveying belt 1 with a pressing piece 6. At the time of paper jamming, the attraction of the magnet 5 is eliminated by actuating a solenoid 10, locating the hole 8 in the window 3 of the frame 4, and according the hole 8 with the magnet 5. As a result, since the space between the belt 1 and the piece 6 is enlarged, the paper 2 can be taken out in an arrow B direction.
