PURPOSE:To select a holding display time optionally in accordance with the property of music of which level is to be displayed and to display the level at a switching speed corresponding to the music by constituting a holding display time setting means by a means enabled to select the holding display time optionally. CONSTITUTION:When AD conversion has been executed by the prescribed number of times, an operation and sound level analyzing part 10 executes FFT operation. Out of respective frequency bands to be displayed, 50Hz is set up and a level l2 e.g. is compared with the holding level la of the preceding level l1 by a level comparing part 11. If the level l2 is smaller than the level la, whether the holding display time set up at the initializing time has been completed or not is discriminated by a counter part 5. When the level is determined, a pattern data command signal is extracted from a pattern data command part 12 and supplied to a pattern data determining part 13. Pattern data corresponding to the discriminated level are taken out from the determining part 13 and supplied to a V. RAM15 through a VDP14 to write the pattern data in a prescribed table. |
