PURPOSE:To make it possible to automatically perform separation with high accuracy, by temporarily holding a component separated in a first separation mode and bringing the same to a shape suitable for a second separation mode by a proper washing solution. CONSTITUTION:A definite amount of a specimen solution 6 is sucked by a syringe 3 through a sampling valve 4. Subsequently, when the valve 4 is rotated by 60 deg. from the state shown by the drawing, the specimen solution in a coil is sent to a first separation column 7 by the eluting solution from a pump 2 where the specimen components are developed and the separated components are detected by a detecotr 8. On the other hand, a six-way valve 9 is held to a state rotated by 60 deg. from the state shown by the drawing, but when the objective component begins to be detected, said valve 9 is set to the state shown by the drawing and the objective component is held to a holding column 10. The valve 9 is again returned to the original state at the point of time when the elution of the objective component from the column 7 is completed. In the next step, a washing solution 13 is sent to the column 15 by a pump 10 to wash the same and, thereafter, a valve 11 is changed over to the state shown by the drawing to sent the eluting solution 12 to a second column 14 through the valve 9 and the column 15. By this method, componential separation is made highly accurate. |
