PURPOSE:To contrive to detect the over-lowering of a wick at a burning operation and improve the extinguishment safety by a method wherein the lowering operation of the wick is stopped once at the designated position, then wick vertical moving operation is made by the manual operation of a wick vertical moving knob exceeding said designated position at the normal extinguishment. CONSTITUTION:At the lowering of a wick for adjusting burning condition, a knob 48 is pivoted toward the wick lowering direction until an operating body 46 is engaged to the top end part of a stopping body 47 provided on an engaging body 41. At this time, the wick height is located at a position shown by P2, the distance from P1 to P2 is regulated as a wick adjusting width. At the more lowering of a wick 32 for the extinguishment, a stronger pivoting force than the normal pivoting force is given by the knob 48, then the knob 48 is enabled to be freely pivotable manner due to the movement toward the outer periphery direction of the top end part of the stopping body 47 caused by the pushing pressure of the operating body 46. Thereby, an incomplete burning due to the over-lowering of the wick can be prevented. |
