PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a measuring work, by a method wherein a recess is formed in the lower end of a rod for measuring the bearing power of earth, a spiral vane is installed to a support shaft suspended from the recess, and this enables collection of earth even if the size of a rod is small. CONSTITUTION:A rod 2 is erected by means of support legs 20, and after a weight 10 is lifted in a condition that a handle 10a is grasped, the weight is dropped to drive a driving part 3 to measure the bearing power of earth. Thereafter, with the rod 2 lifted, a spiral vane 7 appears between the lower end of the rod 2 and the upper surface of a thrust part 13. Thereafter, with the rod 2 rotated by means of a handle 9a, a support shaft 6, rotating through engagement of a key groove 36 with a projection piece 40, rotates the spiral vane 7, and earth is pulled up and forcibly pushed into a recess 5 formed in the lower end of the rod 2. Further, the rod 2 is pulled out togetherwith the driving part 3 located through the support shaft 6 to collect earth. |
